What is the GFPD Warrior Walk Run Ride?

The GFPD Warrior Walk Run Ride event is a global event to support the GFPD and its mission to improve the lives of individuals with peroxisomal disorders! GFPD friends and family (in person or virtually) can create a team or join an existing team to walk, run, or ride, in a location of their choice.

Last year, in the midst of COVID-19, GFPD families needed more help than ever before. GFPD families and their supporters turned up to rally around them to support the GFPD. We are asking you all to do it again for our 2nd annual GFPD Walk Run Ride.

A majority of the GFPD's 2021 spring and summer fundraisers are still canceled or indefinitely changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the needs of GFPD families continue to grow.

The Marshall family lives in Peoria, Illinois. Ethan was born in 2010 and diagnosed with PBD-ZSD when he was 28 days old.

Ethan loves his family, school, Pete the Cat, and being on the move (being pushed in his wheelchair, wagon rides, bike rides and walking with the assistance of his walker). He has a contagious laugh and an amazing smile.

The Ostertag family lives in St. Louis, MO. Hans has PBD and is 4 years old. He loves to snuggle and hold hands!
